Reflection:
One of the things I like about Prezi is the fact that the whole presentation is on one page, and it can zoom in on the parts as you show them. Prezi makes me think of
Graphic Organizers and Mind Maps. Now instead of hand drawing them, we can use a combination of text, photo's and video to help our students understand the concepts we want them to learn. For me the clean visual nature of the tool will be very helpful with my students.

Activity 1: Blog Bling
Since I teach work-based-learning to special education students with the disability of Developmental Cognitive Disability (DCD), my video is about supported employment for these students.
Great Hires is a video about supported employment, and it is explains how it is possible for students in DCD programs to work in for profit businesses. This video will help me teach my students to identify jobs of interest for them, and it will help business leaders understand how participation with supported employment can be a positive for the business. It also helps me think about possible contacts for jobs for my students here in the Mounds View District. The video shows a variety of students in a variety of work settings.
Reflection: 1
I work with small groups of students, so the use of a blog, might help them to create a product over the course of the year that highlights what we have been learning and the student reactions to the material. I can see students making or choosing their own video to demonstrate that they understand the content of lessons. It will be a fun way to bring the concepts of work to life for my students.

Kickoff Post
I am Shaun Adamski, and I teach Work-based-learning to special education students at Mounds View High School.
I was motivated to take the Technology Summer Camp class to increase my personal skills related to technology in the classroom.
I hope to learn how to use a variety of technology to help me improve my presentations to students.
My current technology skills include basic skills with Google Docs and e-mail and that is about all I can do with technology at this point.
